Russian Court Sentences IT Specialist to 13 Years; Binance Data Cited as Evidence

The 2nd Western District Military Court sentenced IT specialist Yuri Belenkiy to 13 years in prison in a terrorism-financing case that used Binance transaction records as evidence. Binance provided Russian investigators with records of Belenkiy’s transactions last year after a request from Russia. The records included transfers to fundraising campaigns for Ukraine.
