Rivian Plans Invitation-Only Point to Point Rollout Later This Year

Rivian plans to begin a limited rollout of its driver-supervised Point to Point feature later this year, adding a software milestone as it ramps production of its R2 SUV and prepares broader subscriber access in 2027. The initial release is planned for Rivian’s invitation-only Autonomy Early Access Program. Point to Point lets a driver enter a destination while the vehicle follows a route through city streets, stoplights and highway interchanges. It is an assisted-driving feature that requires the driver to supervise.
