Razer CEO Says AI Could Lift Gaming Toward a $1 Trillion Industry

Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan said artificial intelligence could help gaming become a $1 trillion industry, a vision that would dwarf the sector’s near-term revenue forecast. Tan said the outlook continues a prediction he has held for 20 years: that gaming would eventually reach nearly everyone. “AI is going to bring a new renaissance to all of gaming,” he said. He gave no timetable or calculation for the $1 trillion figure. Global gaming revenue reached $201.6 billion in 2025, up 9.1% from the previous year, and is forecast to total $213.9 billion in 2026.
