Ramp applied Oct. 16 to establish a national trust bank that would provide digital-asset custody if approved, bringing the financial services platform into the federal charter process. The application to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) names the proposed institution Ramp National Trust Bank. It would also offer fiduciary investment management. The bank would not accept deposits or make commercial loans. Ramp is among several companies seeking national trust charters for digital-asset services. Rain’s Oct. 5 application proposed a bank offering digital-asset custody, stablecoin reserve management and token issuance.
