QatarEnergy extended its LNG force majeure on Italian deliveries through year-end, adding three cargoes to a disruption now covering 38 cargoes as Europe’s benchmark gas price hit its highest level since 2022. QatarEnergy notified Edison that it could not deliver three additional cargoes scheduled for Italy’s Adriatic LNG terminal. The 38 affected cargoes from early April through year-end represent about 5 billion cubic meters of gas. By Oct. 27, Edison had replaced 27 cargoes, about 2.7 billion cubic meters, and could source enough gas to serve customers and meet its commercial commitments.
