Pump.fun token promotions have come under scrutiny after blockchain analytics firm Bubblemaps accused cryptocurrency influencer Ethan (@0xEthan) of allegedly earning $125,000 through 49 token promotions. The firm claims wallets linked to Ethan purchased tokens before his public recommendations and sold them afterward, raising questions about promotional transparency and trading practices. In an October 9, 2026, post on X , Bubblemaps estimated that the alleged activity generated $45,000 in trading profits and $80,000 in promotional rewards. The firm also reported that suspected linked wallets began selling an average of three minutes after Ethan’s initial callouts.
