Public Firms Challenge OKX-ICE Tokenized Stock Plan

Nine publicly listed companies have formally objected to the inclusion of their shares on a proposed tokenized-stock marketplace backed by OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). The move underscores a key constraint for onchain capital markets: even when regulators permit tokenization, issuers may still resist how their shares would be priced and traded. According to a notice published on Thursday by OKX and ICE, the companies named in the filing are Cerebras Systems, AppLovin, Applied Digital, Rocket Lab, CoreWeave, Verizon Communications, Applied Optoelectronics, Broadcom, and UnitedHealth Group.
