Prudential Financial management expects sales at its Japan businesses to resume Feb. 1, 2027, while the insurer expects about $3.1 billion in net proceeds from a Brazil and Mexico sale to fund acquisitions. Prudential agreed to sell its insurance businesses in Brazil and Mexico for $4.025 billion in cash. CNP Seguradora would acquire the Brazil business, and CNP Assurances Holding would buy the Mexico unit. The proposed transaction covers 100% of both businesses, with the cash price subject to adjustments at closing. Prudential plans to put the estimated proceeds toward acquisitions that fit its growth strategy.
