Relm Insurance and Project Eleven will examine whether institutions’ preparations for quantum computing threats can inform digital asset insurance assessments as Relm helps develop Project Eleven’s Strongpoint custody platform. The Oct. 20 partnership makes Relm a development partner for Strongpoint, which is being built for institutional digital asset custody. The partnership announced no change to policy pricing. The companies are exploring what evidence an insurer could use to assess an institution’s exposure to future cryptographic threats. Their review will cover exposed cryptographic keys, signing systems, transaction approval procedures and plans to move to new cryptography.
