Polkadot’s Web3 Summit 2026 showcase let attendees buy coffee and deploy smart contracts on temporary networks without knowing which chain handled each task, illustrating its effort to simplify app use and development. The demonstrations centered on prototypes. Shared identity and payment services were a key part of the showcase, presented as a way to reduce developers’ workload and streamline development across platforms. The showcase also tied the services to more consistent user experiences across devices, with user privacy as a focus. Simon Yoon reports on blockchain technology for TokenPost.
