Polish prosecutors have charged nine people with money laundering and participation in an organized criminal group in a case involving 337 million zlotys allegedly linked to online scams. The alleged operation ran from February 2025 through July 2026. The scams included cryptocurrency investment schemes and cases in which people posed as representatives of investment platforms. Couriers allegedly delivered cash to cryptocurrency exchange offices, where it was allegedly processed without required anti-money laundering checks. Funds also moved through bank accounts, and some cash was carried abroad. Fictitious gold purchases allegedly helped disguise transfers.
