OpenAI brings GPT-5.6 Cyber to select Daybreak Red customers

The security-focused model lands in OpenAI's most restricted tier, built for vulnerability research and exploit validation OpenAI has made its GPT-6 Cyber model available to select customers in the Red tier of Daybreak, its cybersecurity program, according to a post on X. OpenAI launched Daybreak in May 2026. The goal was to give vetted organizations access to advanced AI models for defensive security work and for authorized offensive security tasks. On August 10-11, 2026, the program split into two tiers: Blue and Red. The Blue tier handles standard defensive work.
