On Nov. 2, OKX Star outlined four areas of security work after Binance’s Oct. 29 hot-wallet compromise, calling it an industry warning rather than a response to an attack on OKX. OKX Star said the team aims to track stolen funds with delays measured in seconds, flag suspicious addresses and transactions, and try to stop stolen funds from being transferred or laundered through OKX’s exchange and Web3 decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator. The work also includes stronger safeguards against liquidity shocks, cascading liquidations and the potential spread of market risks.
