Offchain’s chief strategy officer described interest in issuing tokenized assets and developing decentralized finance tools on Arbitrum, an Ethereum scaling network already used for some tokenized financial products. The comments concerned interest in development, rather than a specific product launch or a measured increase in issuance. Arbitrum is designed to process transactions faster and at lower cost than Ethereum. An Oct. 19 snapshot of the Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund’s euro share class listed 138.4 million tokens registered on Arbitrum One and 56.4 million on Ethereum.
