NYSE Adds Four Transfer Agents to Planned Tokenized Securities Venue

There is a major distinction between an issuer-sponsored tokenized security and a synthetic token that tracks a stock price without representing an actual company share. Broadridge separately described plans to provide on-chain governance services, underlining how much of a securities market happens after a trade. Corporate records have to survive splits, dividends, shareholder meetings and ownership disputes. If tokenization ignores those workflows, its speed gains may produce new headaches instead of an easier market.
