Nvidia weighs billions in credit guarantees for Nscale’s West Virginia AI campus

The chipmaker is in non-binding talks to back debt for a data center that Anthropic has agreed to rent for approximately $45 billion Nvidia is in advanced talks to put its own credit on the line for Nscale, a UK-based AI cloud provider building a data center campus in West Virginia. The guarantees under discussion could be worth billions and are meant to help Nscale borrow the money it needs to build. Nvidia already sells the chips and already owns a piece of the company.
