Nvidia reportedly halts GeForce RTX 5090 production to prioritize AI and pro GPUs

Hardware leakers say Nvidia is redirecting its GB202 silicon to RTX Pro workstation and AI data center cards, though the company has not confirmed the move Nvidia ’s most powerful gaming card may be headed for the exit. Hardware leakers MEGAsizeGPU and hongxing2020 report that the company has stopped producing the GeForce RTX 5090 so it can steer its GB202 GPU die toward professional and AI data center products. Nvidia has not confirmed any of this. Still, the report fits a pattern gamers already know: when AI wants something, AI usually gets it.
