NVIDIA pledges $250 million in UK agentic safety compute support

NVIDIA said on Oct. 14, 2026, it will provide $250 million of compute support over five years to back U.K. research into agentic AI safety and security, a commitment the company described as a compute donation rather than a cash grant. According to NVIDIA's announcement, the program will supply $50 million in compute access annually and is intended to support the wider U.K. research community, with a portion allocated to the Oxford-led British Open-Ended Learning and Discovery Lab, the UCL-led Science of Fundamental AI Research Lab and Imperial College London.
