Nvidia, German Ministries Sign Declaration to Develop Industrial AI Models

A declaration signed Oct. 19 pairs Nvidia with two German ministries in a plan to develop open AI models for manufacturing, advancing Germany’s effort to apply the technology in industry. The proposed models would draw on German industrial data and engineering expertise. Nvidia’s Nemotron and Cosmos models are possible starting points for work that also covers other physical applications. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz urged business leaders to let AI make use of their companies’ data. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang pointed to Germany’s industrial knowledge as an advantage.
