New York and Wyoming have announced a collaborative effort to regulate the crypto industry, as reported by Eleanor Terrett on social media. This development coincides with the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (USOCC) indicating that final rules for the GENIUS Act will be released by the end of the month. The GENIUS Act, enacted in July 2025, allows certain stablecoin issuers to operate under state regulations deemed equivalent to federal standards while maintaining federal oversight for larger issuers.
