New York securities firms had a record first half in 2026, and full-year profits could top $90 billion if that pace holds, raising bonus prospects. That would exceed the $65.1 billion record set in 2025. Underwriting revenue climbed 68% in the first six months, while advisory and account-management revenue rose 16.4%. A revival in investment banking and strong trading conditions helped lift earnings. The industry employed 207,400 people in 2025 and is projected to add about 5,300 jobs in 2026.
