Netflix Seeks Faster Growth in Viewing Hours Amid Investor Concern

“We know there’s some investor concern about our view hours growth,” Netflix said. The company listed better monetization among its three priorities, alongside adding entertainment value and using technology to improve its service. Members watched more than 97 billion hours worldwide from January through June, up 2% from the same period in 2025. That figure measures total viewing across the service. It does not show whether the average member watched more or less. Netflix views members’ response to its 2026 price increases as a sign that engagement remains healthy. Even so, it wants faster growth in viewing hours.
