The chipmaker's gallium nitride and silicon carbide tech targets Nvidia's 800 VDC architecture for megawatt-class AI racks AI models get the headlines. The electricity that feeds them gets a footnote. Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS) wants to make that footnote a lot more efficient. The company is collaborating with Nvidia on power semiconductor solutions built for next-generation 800 VDC architectures, aimed squarely at AI data centers and GPU racks. The partnership was first announced on May 21, 2025. The collaboration leans on two Navitas product lines. GaNFast uses gallium nitride (GaN), and GeneSiC uses silicon carbide (SiC).
