SpaceX CEO and Chief Engineer Elon Musk said the company could add about 10 gigawatts of terrestrial AI computing capacity in 2027 as it puts its aerospace team to work on data center infrastructure. On an Oct. 20 earnings call, Musk said SpaceX is on track to bring roughly 200,000 GB300 processors online each month for the rest of 2026. He expects that pace to continue next year, when Vera Rubin systems would make up most of the new computing equipment. SpaceX expects to have 2.5 to 3 gigawatts of compute online by the end of 2026.
