Morgan Stanley moved Quantinuum’s rating to Overweight from Equal-weight and set a $62 target, forecasting that the quantum computing market could exceed $100 billion annually by 2040 if fault-tolerant machines see broad adoption. The target is about 88% above Quantinuum’s Wednesday close. Morgan Stanley’s scenario puts the market near $10 billion in 2030 before it reaches more than $100 billion a decade later; that outcome depends on fault-tolerant systems entering widespread commercial use. Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore said, “No company has built one yet.” He added that current revenue offers little insight into which quantum businesses will eventually succeed.
