Microsoft Tightens Review of IREN, Nebius Data Center Projects

Microsoft is tightening its review of data center projects tied to IREN, Nebius and Nscale, including an IREN project in Texas that may face a delay. The review covers some projects at the three neocloud companies. Microsoft is dropping developments it considers risky and discussing internally whether to sign new cloud service agreements. Recent concerns include wiring at an IREN data center under development in Texas. Microsoft and IREN revised the project’s schedule last week, and completion could be delayed by several weeks or months.
