Microsoft Announces Exit Offer That Could Reach 60,000 Workers

Microsoft announced a time-limited voluntary exit offer Oct. 26 for eligible employees on participating teams in four countries. About 60,000 workers could qualify. The offer covers employees at internal level 70 and below in participating teams in the United States, Canada, India and the United Kingdom. It includes financial support and career-planning resources. The estimated 60,000 represents a potential pool of about 27% of Microsoft's 223,000 full-time employees as of June 30, 2026, not an expected number of departures.
