Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) expects memory supply to tighten in 2027 and remain constrained through 2028, leaving customers with little inventory to absorb disruptions as demand from artificial intelligence systems grows. The company expects conditions to be tighter in 2027 than in 2026. Artificial intelligence systems use large amounts of high-speed memory, adding to demand for Micron’s products. Micron supplies memory chips for data centers, phones and PCs. On Oct. 20, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst C.J. Muse maintained a $2,000 12-month target and Overweight rating for Micron. The target was 123.2% above the stock’s $896.07 close that day.
