MiCA Lets Authorized Crypto Firms Offer Approved Services Across EU Borders

A crypto-asset service provider (CASP) authorized under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) can extend approved services across member states after notifying its home regulator, giving licensed firms a bloc-wide route to expand. MiCA generally requires authorization to provide crypto-asset services in the EU, subject to specific routes elsewhere in the regulation. The process does not require a separate MiCA authorization in every destination country. A provider must give its home regulator a list of the member states it plans to enter and the services it intends to offer.
