The Mexican peso’s appreciation at the Asian market opening on November 1, 2026, brought a small gain after eight consecutive weeks of losses against the US dollar. The currency opened at 18.7916 pesos per dollar in electronic trading, strengthening by 0.06% . The opening move followed a positive session on the previous Friday. Banxico ’s official closing figures put the exchange rate at 18.8037 pesos per dollar , with the Mexican currency recording an appreciation of 0.18% for that session. Those two gains contrast with the currency’s performance over longer periods.
