Meta’s Muse Retention Lead Shifts Across Different User Cohorts

Meta’s Muse showed an average retention advantage of about five percentage points over ChatGPT and Claude in one four-week comparison, while a separate September cohort put ChatGPT ahead by day 14. The four-week comparison checked return rates one, two, three and four weeks after installation. Muse’s cohort consisted of September installers; the ChatGPT and Claude benchmark averaged users who installed from January through September. Muse led by about five percentage points on average across the weekly checks. Because the install periods differ, the comparison does not line up the apps across the same cohort.
