Mercado Bitcoin said customers will not lose assets after a security incident involving about $38 million, while the Brazilian exchange said it had blocked $11 million as of Monday evening. In an update at 6:17 p.m. ET Nov. 2 (23:17 UTC), the exchange valued the assets involved at about $38 million and said Tether, Circle, Paxos, BRL1 and Chainalysis helped block $11 million. It said more assets that could be blocked had been identified. The company did not clarify whether its $38 million figure represented total outflows or remaining exposure.
