Meme Sector Gains 2.97% as AI Sector Falls 8.51% in Crypto Market

Crypto sectors had sharply different moves over a 24-hour period, with Meme up 2.97% and AI down 8.51% as the broader crypto market was consolidating. Six of the eight named sectors gained. NFT rose 2.56%, CeFi added 1.43%, Layer1 gained 1.13%, DeFi rose 1.02% and PayFi advanced 0.87%. Layer2 fell 0.65%, with Stacks (STX) down 4.47%. Pepe (PEPE) gained 14.98% and Pons (PONS) rose 11.28% in the Meme sector. Metaplex (MPLX) climbed 36.62% and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) added 3.73% in NFT. OKB rose 1.55%, Kaspa (KAS) gained 4.71%, Genius (GENIUS) advanced 4.93% and Zcash (ZEC) gained 4.06%.
