LIV Golf faces possible liquidation after BC Partners withdrew a proposed financing package of up to $300 million for a relaunch, following the league’s failure to secure enough player commitments. The proposed LIV 2.0 would have made players majority owners and adopted a smaller schedule. Four players had publicly committed to the new venture: Richard Bland, Cameron Tringale, Brendan Steele and Ben Campbell. LIV golfer Jon Rahm said Tuesday that uncertainty about the league’s future and planned format changes factored into his decision to leave.
