Eli Lilly and Company’s Omvoh (mirikizumab-mrkz) met a one-year disease-control measure in 27.7% of ulcerative colitis patients who responded to induction treatment, while 20.4% of Crohn’s patients achieved corticosteroid-free deep remission. In the LUCENT-2 maintenance analysis, the ulcerative colitis rate was 27.7% for patients who had responded to Omvoh during LUCENT-1 induction and were then rerandomized. The rate was 14% among patients assigned to placebo. The measure required clinical and histologic remission, fecal calprotectin of 250 μg/g or lower, and no corticosteroid use for at least 12 weeks before Week 52.
