Lenovo, HP and Dell Sign Long-Term Memory Deals for 2027 PCs

Lenovo, HP and Dell have signed long-term memory-supply agreements for 2027, seeking steadier DRAM and solid-state drive deliveries as artificial intelligence infrastructure competes for components and PC costs remain elevated. PC makers received only 70% to 80% of the DRAM and solid-state drive (SSD) volume they sought in the first half of 2026. Expanding investment in AI infrastructure has increased competition for memory chips and made deliveries harder to secure. The agreements are intended to make memory supply more predictable as manufacturers plan production. They address availability, but do not guarantee lower prices for buyers.
