Kioxia Forecasts Third-Quarter Operating Profit Below Market Estimate

Kioxia forecast third-quarter operating profit of ¥2 trillion, ¥350 billion below the market estimate, after second-quarter operating profit topped its estimate by ¥40 billion in the prior quarter. The forecast exceeds the prior quarter’s operating result of ¥1.99 trillion by ¥10 billion. Net earnings for that quarter came to ¥1.36 trillion against a ¥1.37 trillion estimate. Kioxia projected operating profit of ¥5.26 trillion and net profit of ¥3.56 trillion for the first nine months. The company also plans an interim dividend of ¥90 per share.
