The $6.3 billion Binance hack has triggered a new debate inside the Kaspa community: should large crypto wallets be technically incapable of moving billions of dollars in one unrestricted transaction sequence? KaspaBots argues that the incident exposes the operational risk of traditional hot-wallet systems and says Kaspa’s covenant functionality offers a different approach. The idea is simple. Instead of relying only on private keys and internal exchange controls, spending restrictions can be attached directly to coins and enforced by the blockchain itself. “Build systems where large movements are covenant constrained by default,” KaspaBots wrote after the Binance breach.
