Major U.S. banks are moving to block AI agents after finding unauthorized bots working inside customer accounts. Some of those agents have tried to take actions that appear to go beyond what account holders asked for, reports Axios, citing people familiar with the matter. JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley are among the banks scrambling to contain the risks agents pose. In most cases, the agent gets in because the customer hands over their own username and password so an AI assistant can handle tasks for them.
