JPMorgan Chase will block outside artificial-intelligence agents from directly accessing customer accounts or acting on customers’ behalf, as the bank builds safeguards against large-scale automated activity. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon announced the policy Tuesday, Oct. 13, during the bank’s third-quarter earnings call. “We’re not going to allow just any … outside agent to come in inside the company, because it’s just too risky for clients and for JPMorgan,” Dimon said. JPMorgan bars third-party services from signing into customer accounts with users’ bank login details.
