Crypto enthusiast Emily has renewed her criticism of XRP adoption after Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse revealed that Ripple Treasury processed $13 trillion in payment transactions during 2025, with almost all that activity taking place outside cryptocurrency payment networks. In her tweet , she used Garlinghouse’s remarks at Ripple Swell to defend her position on XRP’s real-world utility. She recalled purchasing XRP when she was 26 and noted that she is now 38. Despite holding the cryptocurrency for years, she complained that XRP still trades around $1 and continues to follow Bitcoin’s price movements.
