Infineon Technologies AG on Oct. 21 highlighted gallium nitride intermediate bus converters in its broader work with NVIDIA on 800-volt AI data center systems, detailing a step in supplying power to dense computing racks. The companies began collaborating in May 2025. Their work also covers power protection and other parts of the power chain. The latest update describes converters that lower voltage before subsequent circuits deliver power to processors. An intermediate bus converter reduces the voltage supplied to accelerator cards. Infineon’s gallium nitride portfolio supports conversion from 800 volts to 50, 12 or six volts.
