A Hyperliquid account that began trading Oct. 19 built nearly $50 million in positions tied to WTI and Brent crude over two consecutive days, as U.S.-Iran negotiations and tensions around the Strait of Hormuz continued. The figure represents the combined size of the account’s oil positions, not a realized gain. The account added exposure across both types of crude after it began trading and had approached the $50 million mark by Oct. 21. The buildup took place as Qatar and Pakistan put forward a compromise proposal during the U.S.-Iran talks.
