Houthis claim attack on Saudi Aramco facility in Abqaiq

Yemen’s Houthi movement has announced it launched an attack on the Aramco facility in Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia. The facility, a crucial part of Saudi Arabia’s oil infrastructure, has been previously targeted, notably in 2019, suggesting ongoing tensions in the region. While the Houthis have claimed responsibility for several recent attacks on Saudi energy sites, including this latest incident, independent verification of these claims remains pending. The Saudi government has not yet confirmed the attack on the Abqaiq facility, although it has acknowledged other incidents involving Aramco properties.
