Houthi-launched drone intercepted and neutralized by Saudi-led coalition

The Saudi-led coalition reported successfully intercepting and neutralizing a drone launched by Yemen’s Houthi movement. The incident underscores ongoing tensions between the coalition, which backs Yemen’s internationally recognized government, and the Iran-aligned Houthis controlling parts of Yemen, including Sanaa. The coalition’s air defenses reportedly acted over Saudi Arabia’s Makkah region, though Houthi representatives deny targeting Saudi territory, citing their focus on military and energy infrastructure. This interception is part of a series of cross-border hostilities that have intensified recently. Attention remains on the Saudi-led coalition’s military actions and any potential escalation.
