Homebase Launches AI Assistant to Help Fill Shifts, Check Timecards Before Payroll

Homebase began a limited rollout of Homebase Assistant on Oct. 20, giving businesses with hourly staff a way to seek shift coverage and catch timecard problems before payroll. When an employee calls out, the assistant can identify available workers and contact potential replacements using the owner’s preferences and historical information. The owner makes the final decision on coverage. The assistant can also build schedules, draft job posts, screen applicants and coordinate interviews. Ahead of payroll, it can flag missing punches and other timecard issues for owners to resolve.
