The Hong Kong Monetary Authority said it will reopen an existing renminbi-denominated HKSAR institutional government bond issue on 22 October 2026, offering an additional RMB0.75 billion through competitive tender. The sale matters because the reopened bonds are fully fungible with the existing listed issue, extending supply under the Infrastructure Bond Programme rather than creating a new line. According to the HKMA notice published on 15 October 2026, the tender will reopen issue 03GB2807001, stock code 85039, with settlement set for 26 October 2026.
