Heartland Express, Inc. posted $179.5 million in third-quarter 2026 revenue, down 8.7% from a year earlier, while its operating ratio improved by 5 percentage points. GAAP earnings were $0.01 per share. The operating ratio reached 98.7%, compared with a level 5 percentage points higher in the third quarter of 2025.
