Grok calls a dentist’s office to verify insurance for a user

xAI's chatbot is moving from answering questions to making phone calls and booking appointments on users' behalf Grok, the AI chatbot built by xAI and plugged into the X platform, can now call dental offices to check whether they accept a user’s insurance. The most recent example came on November 4, 2026. X user @ArthurMacwaters posted that Grok was on a call with a dental office, confirming whether the practice accepted his insurance. That post followed an earlier report from October 15, 2026. A Texas user posting as @Texas_Twins_Dad said Grok had located a dentist that accepted his family’s insurance.
