Great-West Lifeco’s U.S. Base Earnings Rose 15% in Q3 2026

Great-West Lifeco’s U.S. segment generated US$364 million (C$510 million) in base earnings for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up 15% from a year earlier, as groupwide base earnings and per-share results also increased. Great-West Lifeco released its third-quarter results Nov. 4. Groupwide base earnings totaled C$1.323 billion, compared with C$1.225 billion a year earlier. Base earnings per share rose 11% to C$1.48. Net earnings were C$1.139 billion, down from C$1.158 billion. Net earnings per share increased to C$1.27 from C$1.25. The U.S. segment recorded US$321 million (C$451 million) in net earnings.
